Wow now this is a fun new Challenge!

Welcome to our first challenge
at

Tutorial Time Challenges
Mark's Finest Papers A Heinrich Co.
First challenge is
Coloring on distress ink
Find our new challenge here!
Supplies needed:
Distress Ink ( I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Wild Honey)
Scrap Paper (to crinkle)
White Card Stock
Alcohol Markers ( I used Copics)
So here is the first step, just crinkle the paper.

Dab your crinkled paper into the ink pad.

Start dabbing the paper onto the white card stock.

Once you get it all over your paper you can cut it up for the desired size.
I was able to get 10 card images done with this page!
I really look the vintage look to the paper with the technique.

Next I take my image.
I chose the rose bud from the Love Remains stamp set
by Mark's Finest Papers A Heinrich Co.
I stamped the image with Momento Ink.

I then colored the image with my Copic markers right over the distress ink.

Finished coloring of image.
Copic colors used are G17 & R29

Here is the finished card!
I added a border, ribbon and rhinestones to finish my card.

This is the prize set for this week
"Spring Flowers"

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

  8. Like your Rose creation. Tried the technique. Tried a couple Tim Holtz colors for background (Wild Honey & Broken China) each on different paper not together. Used Tiger stamp from Big Cats and my coloring with Prisma Color markers that my daughter gave me made the Tiger look too dark/scary. I know Tigers are wild but they are bee-utiful looking unlike my colored image. I'm thinking I may need an image with less detail or lighter color coloring. I have Oopsy Daisy and am going to give it a try.
